Green Light Trust "Green Fund"

Our first “green fund” is now live and actively considering new grant applications. The new "Greenest County Fund" is for voluntary and community groups who wish to deliver community based carbon reduction projects that are 'visionary' and forward thinking in line with Suffolk County Council's Greenest County mission. Grants of up to £25,000 are available for community groups who want to significantly reduce their carbon footprint and inspire others locally.  As Portfolio Holder Cllr Judy Terry explains, “We are committed to helping local communities make a real difference to their local environment, and we want to offer support for those who share our vision to make Suffolk the “Greenest County” in the UK.  This new community grants programme at The Suffolk Foundation will help us on this journey.”  The first deadline for applications is 29th October, along with applications for Suffolk Single Gateway.  For more details, please see our website www.suffolkfoundation.org.uk or call Grants Officer Sue Wright on 01473 734127.
