Learning About Work Day

CPW Computing have joined together with Claydon High School to construct a “Learning About Work Day” which hope to achieve the following goals:

  • To encourage greater awareness of specialist roles within the work place and the value of team work.
  • To improve student’s knowledge and understanding of employers/employment and how they operate.
  • To provide practical experience of the skills used in industry through problem solving activities.
  • To allow students to meet and work with industrialists and adults other than teachers.
  • To allow students to develop interviewing skills through role play activities.

The purpose of the day is to give young people an insight into the problems, responsibilities, demands and opportunities of the world of work.  The young person is encouraged to consider his/her attitudes towards the future in light of school experience and his/her beliefs about the outside world.

Christine Lock and Paul Canham will be taking part in this daylong event on 24th Novemeber.
