The Future is Green

Tuesday 28th June 2011, University Campus Suffolk, Ipswich The Unit will be developing a Low Carbon Business Network which will include a ‘one stop shop’ where any business in Suffolk can get advice and support for ‘greening’ their business. To celebrate the successes that have taken place recently in the County, Suffolk Chamber’s Energywise network will be hosting a special event on 28th June showcasing some of the local businesses who have recently received rewards and recognition for their dedication to reducing carbon emissions and to become more energy efficient. The event will be held at University Campus Suffolk from 8.30am to 2pm and will give businesses the chance to find out more from fellow business people about how various green initiatives can help to save you money and make you more attractive to your customers, along with information about the funding and support that is currently available. The workshops will be run on an informal basis, with plenty of time for you to ask questions and to discuss ways that you can reduce your carbon footprint. Come along to celebrate the good practice already taking place in Suffolk and to find out more about how you can become more involved. The fee to attend is £12.50 and Chamber members (including EEP members) have the benefit of paying the reduced fee of £10 to attend. The event includes refreshments and a buffet lunch. |
